Vape FAQ — Your Questions Answered

Yes. Single-use disposable vapes have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025. In England this is under the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (England) Regulations 2024, with matching laws in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Vaping Products Duty (VPD) is the UK vape tax. It started on 1 October 2026 and adds £2.20 per 10ml of vape liquid, or about £2.64 per 10ml once VAT is added. It applies to all vape liquid, including 0mg, whatever the nicotine strength. Read our full vape tax guide and use the cost calculator.

No, not yet. We stocked up before 1 October 2026, so everything we sell right now is pre-tax stock at our normal prices. The law lets shops sell pre-tax stock until 31 March 2027.

When a product's pre-tax stock is running low, we'll say so on its page, so there are no surprise price jumps at checkout. The next batch will be duty-paid and its price will rise by the tax only. We don't add anything on top for ourselves. Read why our prices haven't changed.

VPD applies to anything that is or contains vape liquid: 10ml e-liquids and nic salts, shortfills, longfills, nic shots, prefilled pods, big puff refills, and kits that come with a prefilled pod.

Not taxed: refillable kits and mods, coils, empty replacement pods, tanks, batteries, chargers and nicotine pouches.

Including VAT, VPD adds about:

• 53p to a 2ml prefilled pod
• £2.64 to a 10ml e-liquid, nic salt or nic shot
• £13.20 to a 50ml shortfill
• £26.40 to a 100ml shortfill

The last day to sell pre-tax, unstamped e-liquid is 31 March 2027. From 1 April 2027, every vaping product sold in the UK must carry a duty stamp. You may see 30 April mentioned online, but HMRC's date is 31 March 2027.

Newly made e-liquid carries a duty stamp on its packaging, placed so the bottle or box can't be opened without breaking it. Early stock may have a simpler transitional stamp, and later stock has a digital stamp with a QR code. Both are legal. Until 31 March 2027 you will see a mix of stamped and unstamped stock across the UK. From 1 April 2027, unstamped e-liquid on sale is illegal.

Yes. The rule only stops shops selling unstamped stock. You can keep using anything you bought before, as long as it is within its best-before date, which is usually about two years from when it was made.

Yes, while stock lasts. Our shortfills, nic salt multibuys and e-liquid mystery boxes are all pre-tax stock, which can be sold until 31 March 2027.

You must be 18 or over. We verify age on all orders and do not sell to anyone under 18.

Yes. All products are TRPR/TPD compliant. Nicotine e-liquids are sold in bottles of up to 10ml at a maximum of 20mg/ml. We do not sell products that breach MHRA notification requirements.

Yes. UK orders of £35 or more get free tracked delivery with Royal Mail Tracked 48, which takes 2 to 4 working days. If you need it sooner, next day delivery is available at checkout. Free delivery applies to UK orders only. See our delivery information for all options.

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday. Standard orders placed before 1pm are usually shipped the same day, and always within 48 hours. Express orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday, at the weekend or on a bank holiday are dispatched the next working day.

Royal Mail 2nd Class can take up to 10 post days. If your order still hasn't arrived after that, contact us within 14 days of the order date so we can investigate it as missing. For a guaranteed delivery date, choose a tracked service at checkout.

Our 10ml nic salts come in 10mg and 20mg. 20mg is often chosen by heavier smokers switching to vaping. 10mg suits lighter users. Our nicotine strength guide explains how to choose.

A shortfill is a large 0mg e-liquid, usually 50ml or 100ml, with space in the bottle to add nicotine shots. One 18mg shot in a 50ml shortfill gives about 3mg. A 100ml shortfill needs two 18mg shots to reach about 3mg.

Nic salts suit small pod kits and mouth-to-lung vaping. They deliver higher nicotine strengths smoothly. Shortfills suit larger sub-ohm kits and direct-to-lung vaping, where you use more liquid at a lower strength. Read our shortfill vs nic salt guide.

Mouth-to-lung (MTL) means drawing vapour into your mouth first, like a cigarette, with a tighter airflow. Direct-to-lung (DTL) means inhaling straight into your lungs, with an open airflow and bigger clouds. Most pod kits and prefilled kits are MTL.

Change your coil or pod when the flavour fades or you notice a burnt taste. For most people this is every one to two weeks, depending on how much you vape and which e-liquid you use. Shop replacement coils.
