How to Clean Your E-Cigarette

Keeping your vape tank clean is an important part in maintaining the performance of your e-cigarette and can have a huge impact on the flavour payoff of your e-liquids. When e-liquid builds up between refills, it will coat the inside of your tank as well as the coil and wicking material, leaving a layer of old and gloopy liquid. This will affect every aspect of your vaping experience and can leave a nasty taste as well.

As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend cleaning your device at least once a week, or every time you fill up with a new eliquid, and cleaning your mouth piece every day. You can clean your mouthpiece daily by rinsing it under the tap, and for a more thorough clean use a small brush with a small amount of washing up liquid followed by a rinse in some water.

When your tank is completely empty of eliquid, remove it and place in a bowl of warm water. Add a couple of drops of mild or plain washing up liquid, give it a little stir and leave it to soak for around ten minutes. Get a small brush or cotton bud and clean inside your tank to help remove any stubborn bits of residue, then rinse underneath the tap, ensuring any suds are gone. Leave this to dry for a further ten minutes, then grab another cotton bud to ensure it has dried thoroughly. Re-assemble and you are good to go!

It’s also nice to give your device a good wipe down too, especially if this is being carried around in your pocket or your bag.

Sometimes you can get dust or other bits of fluff stuck in the usb port, you can give this a gentle blow or use a cocktail stick to pick out the little bits, but be careful not to poke or blow too hard and damage it.
